SAC/TC85 approved by the National Standardization Administration of China (SAC) is a national technical committee on fastener of standardization. Its business guidance is the responsibility of SAC, and its daily management is undertaken by the China Machinery Industry Federation. Its professional scope is generally called fasteners, including standardization of fasteners' dimensions, tolerances, and mechanical properties, working characteristics, test methods and acceptance procedures. At present, 443 national standards and 23 JB industry standards are under centralized management. There are 12 categories products, including bolts, studs, nuts, screws, wood screws, tapping screws, washers, pins, retaining rings, connection pairs and fasteners-assemblies, and others (such as stud welding). These fasteners are widely used in machinery, electronics, energy, transportation, petrochemical industry, marine engineering, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, household appliances, aviation, aerospace, ships and military facilities and other fields.
